I have tested these dokings with various notebooks from HP and Lenovo (via the USB-C interface). I had to perform a firmware update and/or Windows update on individual notebooks so that they worked perfectly. Docking has 2 USB-C ports, please use the correct one to connect to the notebook.

Mi spiace ma mi sa che non puoi splittare il segnale con questo modello. Se guardi sul sito del produttore è specificato: “ Your operating system supports only one external screen; when two monitors are connected both will display the same image.”

It depends on how the connection is established. Even if you connect your notebook via USB-C/Thunderbolt to your docking station, the transfer of the image runs according to one of the known protocols such as HDMI 1.x or 2.x or DisplayPort. For example, my HP notebook can handle 3440x1440 @60Hz with DisplayPort connection between docking station and screen. But if I connect the docking station and the screen via HDMI, then the protocol between notebook and docking station is of course also HDMI, then only 50Hz works. The reason is that the graphics chip of the notebook is not able to process more via HDMI protocol. Only via DisplayPort, which is fortunately supported via the USB-C connection.

You can check the compatibility directly on the manufacturer's page: https://i-tec.pro/de... For Macbook Air with M1 processor, the manufacturer states that it should work, but only with one screen. I was not shown any other information. Whether you can use the full possibilities of this dock with it, we cannot assess with certainty without testing.

What happens if you leave out the analogue connection? Is DP to DVI native then? Both connections are anything but optimal. DP to DVI is often problematic. And DP to VGA is also rather exotic. But I think it's most likely due to the notebook or the screen, which is reporting incorrectly. Don't you have any HDMI connections on the screen? DP (i-tec dock) to HDMI (screen) works better. You just have to be careful, because only DP output (notebook, dock) and HDMI input (screen) cables work. A reversed cable would not work again.

Yes, it is possible, because this setting is subject to the computer. But I am honest and confess that I do not recommend this product. It emits an ultra-high-pitched whistling noise that is unbearable. I had 3 units to test and it was the same with all of them. (It's not the power supply) It's better to invest a few francs more and it's good.

Hello, For 2x 4K to be possible, your laptop's main GPU must support the DP 1.4 standard - it must be either an AMD CPU or an 11th generation Intel CPU. If the GPU supports the DP 1.2 standard, 2x 1920x1080 resolution is possible. Can you please contact our technical support directly? Which laptop do you have exactly? We could check which DisplayPort standard your main GPU supports. This docking solution requires a USB-C Thunderbolt connection; such connections are not usually available on normal PCs. It would be possible to use docking solutions that use DisplayLink technology to control additional monitors via USB 3.0. This docking solution could be used because it can use either the USB 3.0 or the USB-C port of the dock. i-tec USB 3.0 / USB-C Dual 4K Dock (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB A)

Hello, In order for this docking station to work, the laptop *must* have a USB-C port - and that USB-C port must support Video Transfer over USB-C (that is an optional feature). USB-A port is missing some functions that the USB-C port can have. Because of that, if you would connect the docking station to USB-A (via an adapter), then video outputs would not work. If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Technical support - support@itecproduct.com Best regards i-tec Team

Hello, This is a native USB-C docking station. For it to work, your laptop's USB-C port must support either the alternative USB-C DisplayPort mode (native video transmission via USB-C) or Thunderbolt3. If you need a docking station that also works with the older USB-A port (USB 3.0), you can contact our technical support directly. We can recommend different options - depending on the required resolution of external monitors and laptop types.
