Data connection with this dock is via USB-C. I have a notebook with USB-C and a second notebook with USB-A. I want to use both alternately on the dock. I would like to use both alternately on the dock. Would a "USB-C to USB-A adapter" work for the USB-A notebook?

Helpful answer
Hello,

In order for this docking station to work, the laptop *must* have a USB-C port - and that USB-C port must support Video Transfer over USB-C (that is an optional feature).

USB-A port is missing some functions that the USB-C port can have. Because of that, if you would connect the docking station to USB-A (via an adapter), then video outputs would not work.
