The option to renew the subscription for the Invoxia Pet GPS Tracker usually only appears when the current subscription has expired. It is possible that the renewal option will not be visible in the app until the plan is almost expired or has already expired. If you do not see a renewal option, you can contact customer service for more information.

To renew your subscription for the Invoxia Pet GPS Tracker, you can do so directly via the mobile app. After the first three years, which are included with the purchase, you must select a new subscription. The tracker itself does not need to be disposed of as long as it is technically functional. You can open the app and select the various subscription options there to continue using it.

Then I think it's the wrong tracker. Because the data is sometimes not accurate and you have to switch to Bluetooth for an accurate search. However, there are trackers that have a SIM card and the data is transmitted more accurately, but the battery doesn't last as long and the trackers are larger.

I can report from the city of Basel: yes, the GPS is not that accurate. As soon as you get close, you can search via Bluetooth. Which then works pretty well. Our most frequent problem is that our cat loses the collar in the backyards. Since the GPS is not that accurate, you first have to ring a neighbour's doorbell to find out via Bluetooth that the collar is two gardens away. So the collar is perfect in the city to get in touch with the neighbours. Nevertheless, we really appreciate it because of the long battery life.

Is that a question or a statement? :D And no, you can't compare that with an airtag. I also tested an Airtag first. The worlds

Please give a little more detail about what is not working for you, I don't understand your question. Basically, you have to be aware that LoRa has very low transmitting/receiving power and therefore no uninterrupted communication is possible. On the other hand, as others have already mentioned, this technology requires massively less power than LTE, i.e. the "mobile" network. In addition, everything would be pointless if the GPS were still active without interruption. Again, if the GPS were only activated sporadically, it would need some time to determine the location and then send it. I also don't understand when and how which data is sent, because when a position arrives, the cat is already over the hills. It basically serves its purpose in that I can now see historically (not in real time) where the cat has been and where he is staying. But tracking him down with it I see as quite impractical, moreover, as soon as he is under roof or in buildings nothing works anymore, i.e. there is no positional suofate. It still has some potential for optimisation, unfortunately the company's homepage is somehow just a marketing thing, I don't see any functioning support...

i can only speak of this one! yes, our cat has already picked it up twice, once a neighbour found it, the second case is still unsuccessful somewhere in the bushes, so the exact search with bluethoot approach does not work correctly, you can stand on the spot where it should be, but there is nothing! battery times are not bad, but the tracking (course) could be better! don't know that our cat is such a good swimmer, already crossed the vierwaldstättersee several times! well!

What is the Bluetooth class of the device?

As far as I know, it uses BLE. However, only for fine positioning at the user's request, if he wants to locate the tracker in real time via the app and you are in the vicinity of the tracker. Otherwise, the LoRa network from Swisscom is used for data transmission.

My experience: we live in the country, the network coverage is perfect. I would not buy the tracker again because it is far too inaccurate. The idea is great, the battery life is impressive, but it's of little use, because despite the highest setting, far too few data points are sent. I have 4-8 data points per day, although our cat moves around a lot more. I have also had cases where I suddenly received points that were several hundred metres away from the actual location... Unfortunately, the manufacturer is not that insightful either. I made the suggestion to increase the monitoring radius (1000m), which is far too small for our needs in the country. This was not taken up. Conclusion: I expect that there will soon be better products based on LoRa WAN.

If the animal (e.g. cat) stays at home, you can also check where it's hanging out from your holiday destination, yes. Provided you have data access on your mobile phone abroad (WiFi, data roaming, etc.). In our case, it is sometimes a bit inaccurate (about 10m off) or gives a completely wrong location (about 1km off), but after a few minutes the error is usually corrected. However, the network coverage for the iot network is not particularly good in our area either. By the way, here you can see the network coverage for Switzerland for the GPS tracker https://www.swisscom.ch/de/business/enterprise/angebot/iot/lpn.html
