Question about Invoxia Pet GPS Tracker

hello all I am thinking about buying the Invoxia tracker for our cat. The reviews are very mixed. We live in the Agglo Luzern and according to Swisscom, the network coverage in our area is comprehensive. It's mainly about finding the cat when he's supposed to come home and isn't there right away. In this case, we would like to know where to look. We also want to set up a safety zone. We don't want to track his every move, nor are fitness and sleep data important to us. What are your experiences, does the tracker work more reliably in urban areas? And if the tracker does not perform as promised, can it be returned?

Helpful answer

My experience: we live in the country, the network coverage is perfect. I would not buy the tracker again because it is far too inaccurate. The idea is great, the battery life is impressive, but it's of little use, because despite the highest setting, far too few data points are sent. I have 4-8 data points per day, although our cat moves around a lot more. I have also had cases where I suddenly received points that were several hundred metres away from the actual location... Unfortunately, the manufacturer is not that insightful either. I made the suggestion to increase the monitoring radius (1000m), which is far too small for our needs in the country. This was not taken up. Conclusion: I expect that there will soon be better products based on LoRa WAN.
