Hello Anonymous Why not fix the MFC-9330CDW? What is it missing? Dire devices for the toners TN-241x/TN-245x are no longer current and these toners do not fit into the new device series with the drum DR-243CL = https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/drucker-10?bra=92&opt=v34-8499%3A18%7Cv34-8499%3A24&pdo=34-8494%3A6765&tagIds=77-691. The successor to the MFC-9330CDW is the MFC-L3750CDW. Personally, I would recommend the MFC-L3770CDW, as it has a second scanner unit (CIS) in the document feeder (ADF), which allows you to scan double-sided documents in one pass without having to turn them over manually. In general, the choice of device is strongly dependent on the print volume. The linked device series is suitable for up to approx. 500 pages per month = 2x toner replacement per year. If the volume is higher, you should choose a more expensive device = the toners are then proportionally cheaper = better price per page. Greetings

Yes, that is possible. For type image it goes up to 1200 dpi. For type text (OCR) it goes up to 600 dpi; this is sufficient and the result is satisfactory. For type e-mail (no OCR) it goes up to 600 dpi. For type file it goes up to 1200 dpi. The settings can be defined and saved in the configuration (CC4 - ControlCenter). Duplex works with all settings; speed is not great - but sufficient. Price - performance for home office and private very good - would buy again.

Good day, If you have only been using the machine since last autumn, it would be best to contact Digitec customer service, as you have a 2-year warranty on the printer. I know the error from my job, we then sent the printers to the repair.

If the printer is connected to the network, it is also indirectly connected to the Wi-Fi. This means you can print via the network without connecting the laptop directly to the printer. You could also connect the laptop via cable.

Is the device compatible with Windows 10?

Brother does not list Windows 10 as compatible either :( Presumably it works, but with my last MFC Brother I had to make the experience (at that time with Win 8.1) that the compatibility of the software does not last long and is also quickly no longer supported by Brother. I could only print with the Windows drivers and had to scan via a network folder. I don't want to advise against Brother here, but from my own experience (I've had it since the beginning of the year) I can recommend the HP M477fdw Color LaserJet Pro (WLAN, Laser/LED, colour, duplex printing). Works perfectly with Windows 10, I'm also satisfied with the quality etc.. Price/performance is right, even if it costs a little more than this one.

Hello Cliff85 If you have such problems, please contact the manufacturer directly or visit http://support.brother.com/g/b/countrytop.aspx?c=ch&lang=de. In order to analyse your problem, further questions/clarifications are certainly necessary. Maybe just reinstall the driver? Or is there an error message in the display of the device? Do internal device printouts or copies work? ... Greetings

Hello, yes, that works for me. I have set up an SMB share on my Qnap and it can store the scans on this share. The scans are set up via the web interface of the printer. On the printer you have to set the format of the scanned file.

Yes, and to my delight, it even has OnePass duplex scanning, i.e. thanks to two sensor strips, the sheet does not have to be turned over, as with older Brother models. Duplex scanning is thus only marginally slower than a single page. It is probably now cheaper to install two sensors than the turning mechanism that would otherwise be required.

Yes, but Brother and HP probably understand "standby" differently. Brother has the following information: Power Consumption Operational: 380 Watt Power Consumption Standby: 70 Watt Power Consumption Sleep: 7.5 Watt I think "sleep" is more comparable to the HP standby value - but I haven't measured it. What "comparable" HP printers are, however, is probably also a matter of judgement - when I bought the Brother at the time, there was no HP model (either in terms of price or functionally completely different) that would have fitted.

The booklets are not stapled. The printer cannot do this. Only the division on the pages is done with the help of the booklet printing function. Since the printer can only print A4, the maximum size of the booklet will also be A4. In other words, the individual pages will be reduced to A5 (2 A5 next to each other equals A4 brochure). I do not know whether it is possible to print an A5 brochure.
