Yes, but Brother and HP probably understand "standby" differently.
Brother has the following information:

Power Consumption Operational: 380 Watt
Power Consumption Standby: 70 Watt
Power Consumption Sleep: 7.5 Watt

I think "sleep" is more comparable to the HP standby value - but I haven't measured it.
What "comparable" HP printers are, however, is probably also a matter of judgement - when I bought the Brother at the time, there was no HP model (either in terms of price or functionally completely different) that would have fitted.
