I read that Xiaomi's 5G is somehow not certified on the Sunrise network. Does anyone know more? I am a Sunrise customer and my next device should already work with 5G.

Hello everyone, I have had a Yallo subscription with 5G option since 1 August. It works perfectly in dual-sim mode, i.e. if you want to use 5G, you have to insert the SIM card in slot 1. In slot 2, however, 4G is also possible. In the first version, 5G was only possible with one SIM card. A tip for everyone: In the MIUI update window, there are 3 points at the top right. Look for Update Settings and

activate the option "Receive updates sooner" at the bottom. On the newer phone I now have MIUI Global 12.5.2.0 (RJIEUCF) and with the older model MIUI Global 12.5.1.0 (RJIEUXM).

i have a moto g 5g plus and sunrise does not support my phone with 5g, sunrise has confirmed that only the models they sell in the shop are supported, swisscom is better according to my research. too bad for 5g is the death knell in my opinion if they continue like this. best regards.

Also 8 months after this question, the same situation: 5G is still not supported on this phone by Sunrise / yallo, as I unfortunately only found out after the purchase.

@Hmmmmischi I can answer this personally as I have Swisscom as a subscription and Sunrise as prepaid with the 5 prepaid option that I bought for a week. Even put the Sunrise sim in both sim card drawers to test it and my conclusion. Swisscom supports the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G and you receive 5G and with Sunrise no chance unfortunately. It's a shame there's nothing in the description of the device. Digitec

definitely needs to catch up on your part. My recommendation is to switch to Swisscom if you want the device, or you have to choose another device. But Sunrise's 5G and other network coverage is subterranean compared to Swisscom anyway. I tested both and Swisscom did better everywhere. The only positive thing about Sunrise's 5G network is that the 5G device supports Sunrise's 5G network. The speed is higher compared to 4G and also higher than Swisscom's 5G network in most cases, but Swisscom's 5G network is better developed.

Since I am a Swisscom customer, I cannot answer the question as I would like. In any case, it works perfectly for me (Swisscom).
