Not to my knowledge. But one alone provides a very good sound. For a very large room, you would have to buy 2 single speakers and set them up vertically to get stereo sound.
I don't think you can change this with the Sonos system. The Aux input also has - like Airplay, for example - a fairly long delay. :(
It's much bigger, has much more bass and can play louder music.
These speakers are permanently connected to the WLAN or LAN network or connected to it, the power supply unit integrated in the speaker constantly consumes approx. 3.2 watts of electricity every hour and therefore the back becomes warm. In a day, this is approx. 76 watts, per month 2.3 KW and in a year this would be approx. 840 KW. You can connect the speakers to Hombli sockets, for example, and then only activate the sockets via setup in the Hombli app when you are at home and want to listen to music. This saves a lot of electricity without having to give up music enjoyment. Hombli Smart Swiss Socket 2+1
The power cable is 2 metres long.
Hello Markus You can only operate the Sonos Five with the new S2 app. As far as I know, the Play: 1 runs with the Sonos S1 and S2 app. You can find more details here: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4786?language=de If both speakers run under the same app, you should also be able to form a corresponding group. Greetings and good luck
Yes, this should work with the "new" S2 app. More info here https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4786?language=de
I don't know, because I only own version 2.
Prices are based on supply and demand, suppliers and availability of goods. For all these reasons, prices vary very regularly.
This is a powered speaker without external speaker connectivity. You need to look at the Sonos Amp Sonos Amp (Wi-Fi).
Nothing... 3.5 mm audio input with automatic detection. 3.5 mm headphone jack with automatic detection. Volume control!?
Sonos speakers are incredibly expensive. I would recommend the Google Nest Audio for good sound. Two of them make a great sound and the whole thing costs only 210 francs (105 each). I also use these speakers at home and they sound really good. Google Nest Audio (Google Assistant)
Hey! Yes, the device does not have Bluetooth, I have it at home myself. I have connected the device to my network via wifi and control this via the Sonos app.
Yes, that works. I also have a sub in the system. Really great sound!
It's almost impossible without trial and error. And it is very individual. I replaced a similar configuration with 1x Five and 2x Sonos SL. I was lucky enough to have access to two Five as well. Came up with this solution. The bass is no longer as deep, but it is wider ..... What do you mean by that? Exactly, it's very individual. And above all: it depends on what kind of music you listen to. The family is happier now, they have easy access. I would do it again. But possibly with Sonos Sub and 2x Sonos SL.
I have a sonos five connected to the amplifier. At the same time, I have several Sonos one, a Beam and a Sub in the house. I listen to the records on all the speakers at the same time. Signal goes into sonos 5 and is converted so that it can be heard everywhere at the same time.
The signal is transmitted to all switched-on and selected speakers! Sorry for the late reply, I was on the road.
Hello Martin1606, according to my experience, it doesn't matter where the SONOS Five is placed, it only radiates to the front. However, it should have free space to the sides and up and down, not that the SONOS Five stands recessed in a niche!!! Since it has no bass outlet to the rear, the SONOS Five can also be placed directly in front of a wall. Have fun listening!
So this would be a suitable wall mount: Flexson Sonos Play:5 (2nd Gen) Wall Mount (1pc, Wall Mount, Swivel, Tilt)
Hello Thank you for the tip. It has been adjusted in the meantime.
You can only connect speakers to the Denon via a physical connection, i.e. via cable. The Sonos only have a jack connection, and the Denon does not have this. You can only connect speakers and/or a subwoofer to the Denon via a cinch cable (red and white plugs). Here is the Denon page with instructions https://www.denon.com.hk/en-hk/shop/denonapac-nseries_ap/ceolpiccolodran5scn5_ap
Hello In the current generation, a stronger chip and more memory have been installed. However, this has no influence on the listening experience. In a blind test, you would not be able to tell the two apart in terms of sound.
Enclosed I am sending you an article that touches on the subject (see below). According to my information, it is possible to connect the PC output to the line-in of the FIVE. From there you should be able to play the signal on all other SONOS speakers. It is likely that you will not have a "real" stereo pair, but you will have audio from the left and right. As for what happens when you turn on Spotify with your phone, I'm not 100% sure. However, I assume that the PC playback will stop until you actively switch back to the line-in input (music plus PC sound at the same time is not possible). You could possibly get around this problem by running Spotify via the PC (Spotify Web). This way, Spotify can be controlled from the mobile phone, but the audio signal still comes from the PC and not from SONOS itself. I hope this already helps you a little. :) https://www.smarthomesounds.co.uk/blog/faqs/sonos-line-connection
