Can the microphone be easily or safely deactivated/removed?

According to the official information, the Five no longer HAS any microphones, so it has no independent voice control. It can only be controlled via voice if, for example, a Google Home or Sonos One, whatever, is already in use.

Therefore, you have absolutely nothing to fear in this regard.

However, I don't have to understand why features are left out of a newer and more expensive product that sounds identical to its predecessor according to reviews. However, those who buy the device on the assumption that the Voice Assist works out of the box without an additional device should be careful.

"Connect the Five to a device with voice control, e.g. AmazonEcho or GoogleHome, and control it with your voice."

According to research, it should be possible to deactivate the voice assistant in the main menu.
