Yes
Try installing the firmware from the HP support page. It has power, but does anything light up? There are G5 and G5 Essential important for the firmware.
As listed in the technical description, the docking station has the following connections: DisplayPort (2x), HDMI (1x). What you need then depends on your screens, but I would always go for the 2 display ports.
Yes, it works, but you have to specify in the energy settings that the computer does not shut down or go into sleep mode when the laptop is closed.
Basically, it is compatible. When choosing, you need to pay attention to the power output of the dock. The smallest has 65W. I had the problem that it only recognised one external screen (MBP Pro M2Pro)
Hello. What does "not working" mean? Do you have no picture on the external monitor? Are you unable to switch on the notebook via the docking station?
Hello this station works for all common models on the market, regardless of brand and whether MacBook, laptop, notebook ect.
I think it has to do with the following, which is stated on the HP homepage: G5 Essential is compatible with "Thunderbolt™-enabled PCs"
The G5 has a USB C port, which must be plugged into the notebook. If the Huawei Matebook Pro X has one, I don't see any problems with compatibility.
I have two laptops on this station, an HP and a LENOVO, and it works for me.
Yes, it does not matter because it is a USB device.
The one I received had a Swiss plug, in any case.
It depends on whether your notebook can output 165 MHz via USB-C. The dock uses the USB-C Alt mode. (i.e. Displayport via USB-C)
The dock uses the USB Alt mode (basically DisplayPort via USB) with 3 screens with HD resolution or higher, the USB bandwidth is no longer sufficient for USB 3 and the controller must be "reduced" to USB 2. This only works with a restart. On some HP notebooks, you can activate a mode in the BIOS that reduces the USB speed to USB 2.0 in USB Alt mode. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06575423
I use it with a Lenovo laptop without any problems.
The cable says USB-C
No, your ASUS can't deliver the same things on the USB-A port as the HP can with USB-C.
Yes the docking solution can also be used with Windows 10.
I use this dock for a Business PC laptop in a very restrictive corporate IT environment. It did not require any software installation. The standard USB-C dock our organisation uses is a different brand, and a friend of mine has used my dock to connect _his_ Business laptop, from a different company. So you're probably ok...
1x Hdmi 1x displayport Set the power setting on the notebook so that it does not switch off when closed. This is how it works for me
Have you already tried it with another notebook?
