It is always helpful to search the manufacturer's website for such questions. https://www.bequiet.com/de... But as far as I can tell, the German premium manufacturer be quiet! has opted for the highest quality and maximum energy efficiency. This means that there is no need for any purely optical and technically completely useless frills, as a glowing cooler is about as useful as a third leg and only costs extra money, which you would be better off investing in higher-quality components. Or asked the other way round: What do you prefer: a CPU at 65°C or a CPU at 85°C but with a brightly coloured propeller? Measured figures (ACPI) are usually more convincing than putting a dinner jacket on a goat. If it absolutely has to be something because you think you can impress your mates with it, get yourself a water cooling system. But then please get a real one and not one with only two propellers.

This CPU cooler is suitable for the following sockets; Socket: AM2+, AM3+, AM4, FM1, FM2+, LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, LGA 1200 So it won't fit on LGA 1700, so you'll have to choose a different fan or organise some kind of suitable adapter if you want it to be the exact cooler.

Is this CPU fan recommended for the 5800X?

There is absolutely nothing against the CPU cooler, just consider the height (15.94cm) and the space for the RAM (depending on the RAM height, it may be tight if all slots are occupied, but the fan can be mounted a little higher). Alternatively, a water cooling system (already available from 80.-) would be an option, as the Ryzen 7 5800x is a hothead. Some examples (I use the Artic Liquid Freeze in the 360 variant for the Ryzen 9, for the price tiptop): Arctic Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 (6.30cm) be quiet! Pure Loop (5.20cm) You can also get the Dark Rock Pro 4 for less than 60.- (note the size): be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 (16.28cm)

Hi, how much is missing? Can you simply "push up" the fan a little more? For example, attach the top retaining clip at about the 3rd slat from the top.

Your question is not easy to answer... On the one hand, it depends on the closure mechanism of the enclosure, but in general it does not matter whether the cooler touches the enclosure. However, far more worrying is that the height of the fan on the cooler can be influenced by the RAM height (depending on MOBO size, number of RAM slots and their occupation). I have a Lian Li TU150, G.skill TridentZ RGB RAM (on an ITX-Mobo) and the DR4. In my configuration, the fan is unfortunately located on the 1st RAM stick. Because of the height of the RAM sticks, the highest point of the cooler in my case is determined by the fan and not the tower and is about 1-2cm above the tower. In my case, the fan is directly against the side window, which can still be closed. I recommend you search for your configuration on pcpartpicker.com, for example, and you will probably find a build with the same case and fan somewhere. Next time, please specify the remaining components, so you can specify the answer and make it a bit shorter :D

Hi, with Corsair Vengeance I have the cooler on an Asus STRIX X470-F GAMING in use myself. But it won't fit with the Vengeance RGB, because it would only work with a Dark Rock Pro 4 and only with an internally mounted fan, not a front fan. Also in use (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon Wifi).

You can read the following at PC case properties and thus actually answer your question yourself: Max height CPU cooler: 167mm = 16.7cm | The be quiet is 15.94cm Ergo... yes the fan fits. It might be a bit tight if you have 4 bars, two bars without problems.

Hi... I have it together with a Strix x470 and 2x hyperx 16 gb and the rams were too high. Had to install the cooler the wrong way round.
