They can be operated conventionally via the control panel 72760 and in digital systems through the CS II, MS II, CS I, or keyboard 6040. 

4. Märklin Central Station 3

As a multi-protocol control unit, the Central Station 3 features a high-resolution, modern color touch screen, two speed controllers, and an integrated central track diagram control panel, allowing for simple and comfortable control of locomotives and the entire layout. For locomotives, up to 32 functions can be switched, while for accessories, up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC solenoids are possible.

Additionally, the Central Station 3 includes two built-in locomotive card readers for storing locomotive data or quickly calling up locomotives by inserting the locomotive card. It also has an SD card slot for memory expansion and an integrated loudspeaker for playing sounds typical of model railways. A powerful booster is integrated to supply the layout with traction and switching current.

To operate white LEDs in wire-guided vehicles with only two NiMH batteries, this small circuit is useful. It allows for the complete vehicle lighting to be realized using white and red LEDs. No additional resistors are required. The circuit can be powered by one (1.2 V) or two (2.4 V) NiMH batteries. The LEDs are connected in parallel to the corresponding outputs for red or white LEDs. Naturally, other colors can also be used here.
