The sets include a hole saw drill made of robust, shatterproof, and stable HSS bi-metal for creating openings, as well as a matching hole saw shank with a centering drill for holding the hole saw. The saw teeth of the hole saws are made from high-quality M42 (Co8) material.

The use of the compression spring prevents the cut material from getting stuck between the inner wall of the hole saw and the drill. The material is ejected by the spring force. If this effect is not desired for a specific application, such as with already installed pipes, the spring can be manually removed with little effort and without additional tools.
