Scotch® Adhesive Tape 8959 is a standard filament tape with a biaxially oriented ScotchPro™ polypropylene film (BOPP) backing and a solvent-free synthetic rubber adhesive. Glass fiber reinforcement in longitudinal and transverse directions. Extremely strong adhesive tape for extremely demanding applications. A heavy-duty tape specifically for packaging, Scotch® Bidirectional Filament Tape 8959 combines a polypropylene backing reinforced with cross-laid glass fibers with a synthetic rubber resin adhesive. Our heavy-duty tape is specially designed for strong adhesion to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, plastic and hardboard. A multi-layer system of synthetic rubber adhesive protects against peeling and shearing forces. Scotch Bidirectional Filament Tape 8959 is ideal for use as a high-strength carton reinforcement, for sealing and packaging in shipping, and for V.
