ES2 lite + additional battery = ES4 with road approval ES2 + additional battery = ES4 without road approval Both ES4 variants are only available directly from Segway/Ninebot.
Where did you get the dashboard and I would also need a new one🙈
Is available at https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s3/product/segway-zusatzakku-fuer-segway-kickscooter-es1es2-e-mobility-zubehoer-8261257. Delivery time is approx. 5-7 days.
This is only so that you can recognise the batch of production. There are no changes to the product itself.
Please contact our customer service directly at digitec@digitec.ch with a photo and the serial number of the Segway so that we can clarify this for you.
Yes, the ES2 Lite is allowed on the road (cycle path) with an additional battery. The top speed is not affected, only the acceleration is higher. I can't say anything about the range but according to other reports it is 3/4 of the double single battery range.
So that it can be used on the cycle path and road. All scooters that go faster may only be used on private roads.
Modern devices have overcharge protection, which also protects devices from overcharging (wasting cycles). As long as your device charges properly (after use), I don't see a problem.
The ES2 Lite with 250 watt motor, is weak on the mountain. The more watts the better is true. I then changed to the ES2E, but was still not satisfied (I have a slope in my way to work). The full power was only unleashed when I bought the extra battery. Now it goes up the hill at 15kmh.
What I can say is that the battery never reaches the stated KM. Realistic are 10-12KM
Hallo, 12.5Kg For the scooter is right 14.80 shall be the whole package weight , with all accessories. If, later, you decide to buy an additional battery and increase the range to over 30Km / 2h of use, it’ll add 1.5Kg to the weight - see Segway Zusatzakku für Segway KickScooter ES1/ES2 FG, Luis
So with mine, I have to retighten all the screws every few months. It could also be that small stones have got into the cavity.
You can switch to sport mode. Have a look at the instructions for how to do this.
Hi, yes, you'd better change it. Everything else is useless. Mine works fine except sometimes the brake hangs. Segway told me to try it with wd 40 if you ever have that. But with additional battery it is 1a without is ok. Have fun with it.
On mine, the throttle stuck after 3 weeks. WD40 brought some improvement, but it still jammed from time to time. I have now sent it in under warranty.
Hello, as long as the thing does not go faster than 20 km/h, does not have more than 500 watts, has two brakes, rear and front lights and a bell or horn, it does not need explicit approval.
Got this one and it fits me: https://www.sportxx.ch/de/p/462932900000/crosswave-glocke-schwarz greetings
I have already found an explanation. "The internal values of the models are similar. What generally speaks in favour of the ES2 model are its rear lights (the ES1 only has reflectors) and the front and rear suspension."
I don't think it is waterproof, but it is splashproof. I've had it for about 8 months and have ridden it several times in heavy rain without any problems. Well, I had to extend the rear mudguard/brake with a piece of pet bottle so that I didn't have a wet bum every time I arrived.... As for the power, I can confirm your experience. For flat stretches, the power is sufficient, but when it gets a bit steeper, you can't reach 20km/h anymore. However, I still think that the price/performance ratio is right. When I bought the scooter, there were no alternatives in a similar price range with more power. It is sufficient for the daily commute, but the front-wheel drive bothers me more. With this, the rides in winter were a bit more exciting. When the front wheel slips, you have a lot less reaction time than when the rear wheel swerves in a bend.
To go to 30km/h you have to buy the real ES2. The ES2Lite is limited to 26-27km/h max. (unbridled only), because the front wheel is different, the rest electronically is the same. The front wheel with the motor inside is totally different, the ES2 has a 300W motor and the ES2Lite only 250W. You just have to change the front wheel and untwist the electronics to go at 30km/h, which is not legal though.
There will probably be another "promotion" soon. Let the price rise to XYZ RRP and then present the promotion as a cheap offer. Nothing new at Digitec.
Hello Willi, I briefly measured mine. It is approx. 98cm (top of step to top of handle).
