The fenix3 can be set up for auto upload via Wifi, then export from Garmin Connect as GPX, TCX, Google Earth or CSV. Data import via Basecamp (is then transferred to the fenix3 via USB), alternatively route creation in Garmin Connect (but no import possible there). A VERY detailed test (in English, practically everything the watch can do) can be found here: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2015/03/garmin-fenix3-detailed-review.html

No. To turn off Bluetooth, exactly 9 buttons must be pressed (takes about 10 seconds). Wifi and GPS are only activated when a corresponding app is started. That's why you don't really have to turn them off. I have never turned off Bluetooth either. It doesn't really eat up the battery, and I don't think anyone is interested in it on a plane.

Yes, what is described under scope of delivery is correct... Scope of delivery Power supply unit , Tool , HRM-Run heart rate belt , USB charging/data cable , Wristband (rubber , black). This is also shown by the little racing man on the sensor in the product pictures, the logo is only on the HRM-Run and not on the HRM.

During normal operation, notifications (for SMS / WhatsApp etc. the text, for emails the subject) appear on the surface without any user action, and the keys can then be used to open and scroll text content; While an app is running (e.g. "Running", "Bike", "Ski" is started and a sports activity is recorded), I sometimes see the subject line, but opening it does not work.

For cycling I haven't tried it but the plastic strap would be more flexible so would hold better For everyday use the metal is fine but as soon as you move to do sports the plastic is better I had put the metal one on at first because it looked better but when I was running it wasn't ideal so now I always leave the plastic on

so the software is probably written in embedded bytecode... :-) but the user interface of the clock is available in about 15-20 languages, including German; GPS records the geolocation if GPS signal is received, no matter where in the world; the conversion into a track is then done after uploading to the Garmin server. In Italy, I used the "Map" feature to see on the watch while I was running which route I was taking (only a line, without waypoints or background map; but you can see exactly a circular route and how long you still have to the starting point). What also works: Create a course in Garmin Connect, load it on the watch and then it navigates for you with left/right instructions.... no matter where you are.

The scope of delivery is the same as that listed on the garmin.ch hp for this model (HR version with sapphire crystal). The strap is included, as well as the metal and rubber wristbands, the USB cable, the power supply and the instructions.
