to any kitchen or table, as well as an essential kitchen tool for everyday use. To start grinding, simply press and hold the button on the top and release it once you're done grinding. The knob on the bottom of the grinder lets you adjust the grind from fine to coarse, depending on what you want to prepare. To fill the grinder, simply rotate the acrylic center section and steel lid so that the lock symbol aligns with the unlock symbol. Remove the lid, fill the mill with whole peppercorns or coarse salt, and replace the lid, making sure the lock symbols match. Each mill requires 4 x AAA batteries (not included). Due to the amount of power required to grind salt and pepper, alkaline batteries are recommended instead of zinc batteries. If your grinder is difficult to grind, especially on a fine setting, try cleaning the grinder. Turn the grinder upside down, loosen the knob to the coarsest setting, and rotate the top. This will release large peppercorns or salt crystals that may have lodged. Turn the knob back to the desired setting. It is advisable not to put salt in your pepper mill as this will corrode the carbon steel mechanism.
