How well can you close the lid? Is there a chance that 2 active cats will put the lid on themselves? Can you smell the food in the room when the container is well filled and the lid is closed? Thank you!

the lid swivels and locks into place when you close it all the way. I don't think a cat could open it. You don't smell anything, but I wouldn't recommend filling too much in anyway, as dry food quickly becomes mouldy and cats prefer it fresh.
