For more information, see Tips & Tricks. Tips & Tricks: What is an absorbent substrate? This refers to all materials - that have a porous or permeable structure. - that are able to absorb liquids or moisture. Here's how you can easily test the absorbency of the substrate yourself: - Spray or sprinkle water onto the intended adhesive surface. - The faster the substrate absorbs the water, the more absorbent it is. Clean with playing cards: After the gluing process, fold a playing card and peel off the excess adhesive along the edges of the glued object. This is how easy it is to remove excess adhesive. How much adhesive is needed? To achieve the ideal bond with the right thickness, we recommend between 200 and 400 g of Pattex adhesive per square metre. Easier application: Simply cut the tip of the cartridge at an angle with a knife or pliers. This simplifies the application and the exact application of the adhesive. Storage: Store in a cool, dry and frost-free place. Shelf life: 18 months
