If the router's ports are already occupied, can I connect the AP to a USB switch or is there already friction loss?

The Orbi takes over the function of the router. The switch is then connected to the Orbi (or somewhere else in the network). The service provider router is degraded to a mere modem.

I mean Ethernet port of course, not USB switch
