Great reading experience thanks to high-resolution display and intelligent backlighting (works surprisingly well). You can scroll by touching the screen or by pressing the "scroll buttons" on the edge, which is also practical for one-handed reading.
The device is small (fits in a trouser pocket) and light, and looks good. The power button on the back takes some getting used to.
Content that has already been purchased has to be downloaded individually from the "cloud" to the device and naturally appears there in reverse order, which made starting with the new Kindle a bit tedious.
Price at the upper limit.

Super Reader! Can also be used independently of Amazon thanks to Calibre. Perfect illumination, runtime okay (less than without LED, but still very good).
Price a bit expensive, but technically on top. I waited a long time for the reintroduction of the "physical" scroll buttons. The power button on the back takes a bit of getting used to. The Amazon Origami cover fits perfectly, but it is definitely far too expensive.

Just excellent, but go and buy the Kindle WITH Special Offers and follow the below instructions to remove them for free. It worked for me without any problem: not hack, just a chat with amazon support !
http://www.labnol.org/software...
You can contact the Amazon support team and request them to disable advertising on your Kindle with Special Offers. They are likely to oblige if you using a Kindle outside the USA since special offers cannot be claimed in other countries.
Here are the steps involved:
1.Open the Contact Us page on Amazon and select your Kindle device from the list.
2.Under the Issues section, select Kindle Device -> Kindle with Special Offers -> Problems claiming offers.
3.Select the Chat option and here you can request the Amazon representative to disable ads on your Kindle device (because offers are for US residents only).

1 1/2 months ago we bought the Kindle Voyage for my wife. But directly through Amazon for €189.-- -19% VAT. As soon as the Kindle Voyage arrived, Amazon ran a special offer for €159. Upon my request, we were "exceptionally" refunded the amount of €30. Super customer service from Amazon. I was so enthusiastic about the Voyage that I ordered one for the € 159. 2 days later I also had a Voyage -> Amazon Prime trial subscription from the first reader. Otherwise it takes about 4 days.
The eBook Reader surprised us with its simplicity, intuitive operation, touch screen (page forward, page back, settings etc.) automatic brightness (intelligent front light). And the Night Light function reduces the brightness gently and continuously.
The Kindle Voyage only comes with a charging cable. A power supply unit would have to be bought separately. But any power supply from a smartphone with a USB socket will do.
Downloading books works either via the account in the Amazon shop or via the reader directly. One click and the book is bought.
Via lesen.net you can find weekly bargains and free books that can be downloaded from various booksellers such as Weltbild, Thalia and Amazon.
Books that are downloaded as Epub from booksellers can be uploaded to (all) Kindle with the great conversion programme Calibre.

Apart from the feel of the paper, the best reading experience so far.

This device is far better than I expected. I have beginning cataracts (Graue Star), and the self-lit screen and excellent resolution are even better for reading than paper. It's fine in good lighting and sunlight, but I can also read it in a dark place, so my partner can easily sleep while I read. It's very light, easy to use -- especially with Calibre -- with a case (bought in the USA while there) very light and easy to carry, and has plenty of capacity. I'm glad I didn't get one of the lower-resolution off brands. I recommend getting a case.

Good device. Not disappointed except that the conversion from Amazon CH to FR account is not very intuitive.

This eReader is absolutely amazing. Small, handy, fast, super readability, would never give it away again. I had a Torino shine before, no comparison. I can only recommend it. Origami cover fits perfectly.

My first eBook Reader
Feels good in the hand, but the Amazon logo is almost too smooth.
Scrolling is pleasantly fast, and comics can also be viewed after conversion.
At first I didn't know how to get books onto the device via the PC,
I finally decided to use Calibre, which can also convert books.
Besides, the automatic lighting is useless for my taste:
It comes on when it's bright outside and goes off when I'm reading indoors. A reverse option would be desirable.
And another matter of taste: the standby pictures cannot be changed, unfortunately I don't like all of them.

I switched from the very first Kindle model to the Voyage.

I am a fanatical book reader and have recently read my first book via Kindle App on my iPad. Then I decided to buy a Kindle Voyager. I can't agree at all with some of the critical voices. The device is absolutely super. Super contrast even in direct sunlight and high-quality workmanship. I love my Kindle Voyager and can highly recommend this device.

Excellent product. Great screen. The best reader on the market. The only downside is the price, but you have to pay for quality.

Why does the part cost 189 in € and 249 in CHF? Where is the new euro advantage?
