Yes, you can connect the speakers to your PC with a 3.5 mm jack plug. The Logitech Z407s have a 3.5 mm audio input socket, which you can use to connect them via a jack cable. Alternatively, a connection via USB is also possible, as is Bluetooth as a wireless option.

I bought the Logitech Z407 in December 2022 and I don't have the problem you describe. What I have noticed is that every now and then it does not connect automatically and I have to connect manually in the device settings (Windows 10). However, I have not addressed this "problem" until now because it only happens sporadically and is not really a "problem" for me. May be due to the PC (maybe). I am very satisfied with the Logitech Z407.

The computer is best connected to the unit via the USB connection. A separate data cable of the required length must be purchased. In addition, a connection via a 3.5 mm jack cable is possible via an enclosed aux cable. Bluetooth is the third option for creating a connection for playback. You can switch between all channels via the wireless remote control. However, only the currently active channel is played back.

It almost sounds like something was not soldered properly on the circuit board. I think the product should be exchanged for a new one under warranty, as this is a fault that should not be accepted.

This would work with an adapter cable or a replacement cable, the speakers would have to be connected to the back of the interface and not to the headphone connection. The following cables or adapter cables are available for this purpose, for example: Audiokabel/Adapterkabel
