The reader is connected via USB and is then available as a regular external volume; it does not need any special software. (Unfortunately, it does not work wirelessly via WLAN, at least not with the standard firmware).
Yes, it is as simple as you described! You long-press on a word and the dictionary appears. I have to say that the dictionary covers about 95% of the words that I have checked so far. I love the feature.
Based on the information here: https://www.kobo.com/help/en-US/article/784/file-formats-you-can-use-on-your-kobo-ereader I believe the answer is yes, it does. However, I think e-readers are not a great for viewing PDF files. PDF uses a fixed page size, and since the screen of the e-reader is quite small, zooming and panning is often necessary to be able to read the text. On the Kobo, as well as other e-readers using an e-ink display, this is quite slow and cumbersome. EPUB and HTML files, by contrast, are reflowed on the device to fit the page using an appropriate font size, which makes them much easier to read.
If you feed them well ;-) No - doesn't make sense either.
Do you mean OverDrive? That should be on it. But Onedrive? Have you already looked in the settings under Accounts?
Yes, it is Windows compatible. Versions: 10, 8.1 and 7.
It seems to be a leftover from the previous model, where they probably copied the whole thing from the product page. In any case, the Kobo Aura H2O 2nd Edition does not have a microSD slot. Enclosed is a suitable article: https://www.lesen.net/ereader/neues-xl-lesegeraet-kobo-aura-h2o-edition-2-mit-blaulichtfilter-ohne-microsd-slot-67482/ PS: I have forwarded the error.
