I have been using the HTC U11+ for two weeks. I don't see any problems with the brightness in sunlight. I am absolutely thrilled and can only recommend it.

I have had the device for a week and am very satisfied. I think the camera is very good at low light. There is OIS, but I can't tell you how good it is for 4k shots. The only complaint I have is that the surface of the device is very slippery. It tends to slip when it's not lying flat.

As far as I know the release of the translucent version is set to be in January/February.
The HTC U11 is available in blue. The U11+ only comes in Ceramic Black (sold here), Translucent Black (coming around January or February) and, if I'm not mistaken, a silver shade (don't know when that's coming).
