I've sorted it out - I don't think the description is the best. After a long time of trying, the connection worked via the settings on the Bose app and I was able to establish the connection. All is well now and I am very satisfied with the Bose Bass Module 700 and the Soundbar 700. It's worth the money - even though it's quite expensive!

Yes, but unfortunately only the volume, i.e. no highs and lows, which doesn't matter for the sub.
