I cannot say whether the E is really responsible for the fact that you can no longer make phone calls but receive text messages. But the fact is that the E stands for EDGE - an ancient technology for data transmission. Why the Passport wants EDGE, I don't know, because you can set it in the settings (as with every Android mobile phone) so that the device always uses the best network. So actually, the status bar at the top should not show an E, but a 4G or an LTE or at least a 3G. Since SMS (in the original form, a new standard is currently being established) are not sent via the data network, you can receive and send SMS even if data traffic is not working. Tip: In the settings, check whether the Passport independently searches for the best network - or whether you have prescribed one for it. Note: Little by little, mobile phone operators are phasing out old transmission technologies - first and foremost Swisscom.

Hello, in this list you have all blackberry with whatsapp https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/producttype/telephones-portables-24?bra=84&pdo=13-3135:616&tagIds=82 These are android phones. For the others like the passport / classic ... they still have whatsapp but only until the end of this year .... after that it's over. (so I recommend the ones on the list.)

Hier die Anleitung: http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/how-to-install-android-apps-on-a-blackberry-phone Wenn man nach "Blackberry Passport android apps" sucht, spuckt Google folgendes aus: You can easily install and run Android apps on any BlackBerry device running BB10.2.1 and later. That includes such devices as the BlackBerry Q10, the BlackBerry Z10, the BlackBerry Z30, and everyone's favourite square phone the BlackBerry Passport.

The micro-USB connector is of a higher quality (metal). The solid aluminium frame dissipates heat better than the black Passport. The flip case for the Passport SE has better quality and the keyboard is slightly better to use. In my experience, the reception is slightly better. The stereo speakers sound slightly better.

This is not the case with my Password. I am extremely satisfied and the Password is the best smartphone I have ever owned. Simply ingenious. A lot of heat development indicates high processor activity. Are many apps running permanently in the background? Are all communication services on all the time, e.g. Bluetooth, Nearfield, Hotspot, etc.? Is the battery also running low quickly? Maybe this will help: https://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Z10/my-device-keep-heating/td-p/2614449
