While a conventional signal in a copper cable is exposed to electrical interference, optical cables operate flawlessly even under the most challenging conditions. Additionally, optical fibers do not affect electronics. The low attenuation of optical cables allows for long distances to be covered. The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for single-mode and multi-mode applications, featuring an insertion loss of just 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable.
