The CAT-8.1 system allows for high data rates of up to 40 GBit/s without the need to switch to fiber optics. Combined with installation cables and RJ45 connectors of the CAT-8.1 standard, the patch cable can be integrated into a high-quality high-speed data line. The 5-meter LAN cable supports 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T Ethernet networks and is backward compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T.
