The equip® 11943x series Active Optical HDMI Cable (AOC) is a cabling technology that accepts the same electrical inputs as a traditional copper cable, but uses fibre optics between the connectors to transmit HDMI signals with zero loss and zero latency. Our hybrid cable design consists of optical fibres and copper wires. Here, the high-speed TMDS signals are transmitted via the multimode optical fibres, while the low-frequency control signals are transmitted via the copper wires. The high range of the active optical cables enable transmissions over distances of up to 100m without a drop in signal quality or the need for a separate power supply.
