Make more of your pile of books

Ever wondered what interior designers do to make rooms look nicer? They pay attention to pretty much every detail. And you can, too. I’ll show you how.

The styling team at furniture manufacturer Ferm Living adds a home accessory or sculpture to every stack of books.

The cover of the top book can be neutral, but it doesn’t have to be. Only the ornament on top of the books should attract your guests’ attention. You can also combine several objects – be it a vase or souvenir. Use whatever appeals to you. The only thing you want to bear in mind is proportions. It’s best to choose an eye-catcher with a diameter smaller than that of the topmost book’s cover.
