Humanoid robot Atlas now has grippers
Boston Dynamics has given its humanoid robot Atlas an upgrade. He has been given grippers, which he shows off impressively in the video.
Today, the robot with its 28 hydraulic joints is no longer just good for the next Robolympics. It now interacts with objects - it can lend a hand and take part in its own parkour on the construction site. The fact that he is also willing to help gives us hope for the future. Who knows, maybe one day in the distant future he'll be carrying your shopping bag home or your luggage to your hotel room.
