Be a hobbit for once: "Tales Of The Shire" makes it possible
You won't find a wild battle for Middle-earth in the latest Lord of the Rings game. In "Tales Of The Shire" you live a cosy life as a hobbit in the Shire.
"In a cave in the earth there lived a hobbit." So begins J.R.R. Tolkien's famous adventure about the hobbit Bilbo Baggins. The dream of having your own hobbit cave, seven meals a day (first breakfast, second breakfast, eleven o'clock snack, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper) and cosy get-togethers becomes a reality in "Tales Of The Shire".
Private Division and Wētā Workshop give you an insight into their latest game in the first trailer. In the hobbit simulation game, you build a life for yourself as a halfling neighbour of Bilbo Baggins.
Your task is to make your hobbit cave as cosy and inviting as possible. So no dirty, wet hole with worms! Your daily tasks include cooking, fishing and shopping at the market. You also make new friends along the way. You decide your own appearance.
The game seems to play similarly to Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
