Does the on/off switch remain in the same state when the unit is disconnected from the power supply and could a plug-in connection with timer be used accordingly?

Yes, that works. I also use the lamp with a timer. As an alarm clock, so to speak.
I have a question, is it possible to program it so that it goes off at, for example, 7 o'clock? If so, are there different levels, similar to a licking alarm clock?
