This Mercedes-Benz LAK 710 flatbed tipper reflects the former reality in the construction yards of cities and road construction offices in 1:87 scale. The authorities desired maximum flexibility from their service vehicles. Based on a nimble truck, the flatbed needed to be tiltable and easy to load everywhere. This is how the compact and equally agile tipper was known in municipal construction yards and road maintenance depots. Naturally, the front headlights are made of transparent material. At Mercedes-Benz in Mannheim, the 7.5-ton and 14-ton models for distribution and construction site use were rolling off the assembly line at that time.
