Reliable and with an ideal overview – this is how scrap yard owners appreciated it for decades. It’s no wonder that the robust Fuchs cable excavator F 301 became widely used in that setting. WIKING equips this new cable excavator with the corresponding high cabin and a new scrap grabber. The F 301 is now considered the most well-known Fuchs excavator, having been delivered in over 15,000 units over more than two decades. In hindsight, the success is not surprising, as the manufacturer continuously improved the excavator during its production years and also offered numerous working attachments. Built from the start at the Fuchs factory in Bad Schönborn, the company Schaeff took over Fuchs production in 1985, which was then integrated into the Terex group in 2002. WIKING has dedicated itself to the prototype version of the F 301 from the production years between 1959 and 1970 – easily recognizable by the engine cover on the front right, which was intended for maintenance work on the original model.
