Product details

With it, the legend of the nine-eleven in 1:87 began to come to life! At that time, WIKING had a promoter of the Zuffenhausen sports car in-house for the miniaturization process. Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann, who was the operations manager at WIKING for many decades, was the one who drove the legendary 911 for years – even participating in the popular amateur races at the Avus. Thus, the decision by WIKING's CEO Fritz Peltzer to miniaturize the then-revolutionary Porsche in the H0 scale was made – Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann approved. At that time, Porsche had established a true success story with the 911, which turned the sports car manufacturer into an automotive myth. The body is khaki gray, while the chassis and interior are black. The front turn signals are orange, and the air intake and bumper are silver. The Porsche logo and the inscriptions "911" and "Porsche" are printed in gold. There are silver bumper horns and window trims at the front and rear, as well as silver door handles, decorative strips, and fender edges. The rear grille is printed in black, and the taillights are carmine red. The bumpers are silver.
