The adapter is used to retrofit vehicles with a PluX or MTC interface. A 22-pin socket is soldered onto the adapter board, into which the plug of a decoder-side PluX interface is inserted. To connect the adapter to a decoder-side MTC interface, the additional 22-pin plug must be inserted into the socket.
