Profiles and sheets are excellent for art, architecture, crafting, and model building applications, such as "scratching" stand models. The impact-resistant material of the profiles and sheets made from polystyrene (PS) can be easily processed with a craft knife. It can be scored, then snapped, and the break edge can be easily finished with sandpaper or a sanding sponge. Plastic sheets up to about 1.0 mm thick can also be cut with scissors. For additional effects or applications, they can be heated with a hot air gun and shaped as desired.
