In Everdell Duo, you either compete against a single opponent or play alongside another player to collect the most points. You achieve this by deploying workers to gather resources and then using those resources to play cards face-up in front of you, thereby building your own forest city.

Cards can be played from your hand or from the open area on the game board, known as the meadow. However, only cards from the meadow that touch the sun or moon tokens can be played, and players move these tokens each time it’s their turn. Therefore, planning and timing which cards to play is crucial.

In each game, players strive to achieve various events, the requirements of which differ from game to game, making certain cards and combinations more important than others.

The game lasts for four seasons, after which players tally their points to determine the winner. If you are playing cooperatively, check the requirements for the chapter you are playing to see if you have won.
