Is the obstacle still too high for the horse, or can it make the jump? If it does knock down a pole, it's better to practice with a lower obstacle. The poles can be adjusted in height. Perhaps the horse is more comfortable with the water jump. There are two of these with varying levels of difficulty. With this set, both horse and rider are well-prepared for the competition.
