The rhinoceros lives in the northeast of India. The thick skin folds make it unmistakable and make the animal look as if it was wearing a thick shell. In contrast to its African relatives, however, it is very quiet and peaceful. Most of the time it spends eating grass, twigs, leaves, branches and fruit.
