Always in a 4-stroke design, available in a black housing with a golden valve cover or simply in a silver housing. Later, modern high-displacement gasoline engines with various cylinder configurations followed. Again, all in the characteristic 4-stroke design typical of Saito. These new gasoline engines quickly became very popular, regarded from the outset as powerful and reliable. Gasoline engines have a lower fuel consumption than glow engines, and the fuel is also significantly cheaper. The electronic ignition allows for starting the engines without a glow plug, greatly improving user comfort compared to earlier engines. Typically, regular unleaded gasoline is used in combination with high-quality 2-stroke oil in a ratio of 15-20:1. An English-language manual is included with the engine.
