Standard express train car, first class, type A4üe, of the German Reichsbahn. From the late 1920s to the 1960s, they shaped the image of express and fast trains – the standard express train cars built by the German Reichsbahn Society (DRG) starting in 1928. The Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany continued to use the riveted all-steel cars of the 1928 design for a longer period than the DB in high-quality express train service due to a lack of new cars.
