Product details
The new model, known as "The Savior of the Branch Lines," is the VT. The PIKO models of the driving and control cars embody, like their DB prototypes, clear, reliable, and low-maintenance designs. The driving car model is powered by a small motor, which is equipped with two relatively large, precisely sized flywheels to ensure excellent running characteristics. The drive affects both axles. Since the driving and control cars can be coupled together using a current-conducting close-coupling mechanism, two additional (and thus four) axles can be used for secure current pickup in operations with control cars. The driving car features a PluX16 digital interface according to NEM 658. The lighting functions of both vehicles can be switched separately. Despite the structural features of the driving and control cars, a clear view through the passenger compartments is possible. The driving car can also be used appropriately as a locomotive for transporting individual freight cars. An axle without traction tires, to be swapped with the axle with traction tires of the VT, is included.
