The electric locomotive BR 101 in the attractive Ecophant design of DB AG from Era VI. In the implementation of the Class 101 at a scale of 1:160, PIKO has perfectly captured the external design of the three-phase locomotive. Details such as the single-arm pantograph type DSA 350 have been intricately reproduced. The sharply engraved bogies behind the deeply lowered skirts complete the visual impression of the locomotive excellently. A powerful central motor provides the drive in the model. Two brass flywheels on the motor shaft ensure excellent smooth running. For good traction, the locomotive also features two diagonally arranged wheels equipped with traction tires. Thanks to the modern Next18 interface, a digital decoder can be easily added. In addition to the LED front lighting, the model also has digitally switchable cab lighting.
