Product details
The PIKO Lokdecoder 56122 is a small, powerful multiprotocol decoder. It can be used in DCC and Motorola digital systems and also operates in analog mode with direct current or alternating current, with direction switching via a surge pulse (Märklin system).
The decoder operates at a frequency of 18.75 kHz, making it suitable not only for direct current motors but also for bell-armature motors (e.g., Faulhaber, Maxon, Escap) with a continuous current draw of up to 1 A. Short-term higher inrush currents are well tolerated. The motor characteristic curve can be adjusted via minimum, average, and maximum speed settings.
Load control can be individually tailored to different locomotive motors through adjustable parameters. The decoder features two direction-dependent lighting outputs. Function keys f3 and f4 can be used to activate a shunting mode with an extended slow-speed range and to control acceleration and braking delays. The decoder is programmable via the PIKO Digi-Power-Box, DCC, and Märklin controllers. All CVs can be programmed with all devices.
In its default state, the decoder automatically recognizes the data formats DCC and Motorola, as well as the respective analog operation with direct or alternating current. However, the desired operating mode can also be set manually.
