The newly designed PIKO model of the V 200.1 features all visual changes to the predecessor series on the roof, body, and bogies. In its basic structural design, the new model corresponds to the PIKO models of the V 200.0. With the freestanding, individually mounted front handrails and finely engraved bogies, the model accurately represents the prototype. The heavy frame made of zinc die-cast, combined with the chosen motor featuring two large flywheels, provides the models with excellent running characteristics. The PIKO V 200.1 has direction-dependent lighting that switches between white and red, as well as coupler mechanisms on both sides. The model is equipped with a PluX22 digital interface, and it is prepared for easy retrofitting with sound.
