ARF ready-to-fly model based on the original plans of the designer Dipl. Ing. Wilfried Klinger. The Charly ARF has been optimized for modern electric drives and impresses with fantastic flying characteristics. The model is fully aerobatic and can be flown completely safely over a wide speed range. The question was, can the cult model Charly be further improved? The clear answer: Yes, it can. Thanks to modern manufacturing methods such as laser cutting of the components and selected lightweight materials. A modern brushless electric drive also contributes to significant weight savings. The takeoff weight has therefore been reduced by about 1000 g. The wide cowling provides, just like before, a slight braking effect during downward maneuvers in aerobatics, resulting in a calm and steady flight appearance. The Charly ARF already flies very well through all aerobatic figures with a 3-cell LiPo battery (capacity 3500-4500 mAh recommended). Performance-hungry pilots can also opt for a 4-cell LiPo battery (14.8 V) if desired. This makes the Charly ARF overpowered and capable of climbing vertically at around half throttle.
