City of Angels, board game for 1-5 players, ages 16 and up

City of Angels is set in 1940s Los Angeles and is a game of secrets, deception, and investigation. The majority of players take on the roles of LAPD detectives who are willing to do whatever it takes to successfully close a case. However, one player assumes the role of the Chisel, whose sole aim is to mislead the investigators with bluffs, manipulation, and often outright lies during each turn.

Each player receives a separate, detailed book with information on the nine cases in City of Angels. Each crime is a carefully crafted puzzle that can unfold in various ways. City of Angels utilizes the innovative ARK system (Adaptive Reaction Card) to create the feeling of interrogating a suspect. Using the reaction cards, the Chisel carefully chooses what the suspects reveal to the investigators. Players can challenge answers they believe to be lies, but this comes with a risk: if they are wrong, the Chisel gains influence over them.
