The Mandala: the symbol of an ancient and sacred ritual. Colored sand is laid out to create a symbolic world map, before the pattern is ceremoniously destroyed and the sand is thrown into the river. In the two-player game Mandala, players try to score more points than their opponents by collecting valuable cards - but they do not know which cards are valuable until the game is already in full swing. Throughout the game, players play their colored cards into the two Mandalas, build the central shared mountains, and place cards in their own fields. Once a Mandala has all six colors, players take turns selecting colors from the mountain and adding those cards to their river and cup. At the end of the game, the cards in the players' cups are worth points based on the position of their colors in that player's river. The player whose cup has more points wins.
